LANE 2018 10TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION ON PHOTONIC TECHNOLOGIES

Modern research has to act on social, economical and environmental developments to provide solutions for the existing and upcoming global challenges. For this reason, LANE 2018 offers a platform for an international exchange of ideas, opinions, perspectives, results and solutions concerning photonic technologies. In order to give a detailed overview, the conference aims not only at scientific contributions, but integrates the industrial perspective and their relevance for application, as well.

OSA FOUNDATION SIEGMAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL ON LASERS 2017

The Siegman International School is a week-long program that exposes students to in-depth learning of lasers and their applications from internationally recognized academic and industry leaders in the field.  The scope includes all aspects of lasers and photonics. Each summer, The Siegman International School on Lasers invites up to 100 graduate and phD students for a week-long program to learn from pioneering laser researchers and experts from leading laser companies, highly-regarded professors and fellow students. Attendees are asked to present their own research, which provides invaluable experience in building exposure for their work.

We have gathered a list of internationally known experts with complementary backgrounds in the theoretical and experimental aspects of QNLO. Along a steep learning curve, the invited experts will present a span of lectures from basic concepts to cutting edge research. The school therefore offers high-level and intense training of the foundations and current frontiers in QNLO with strong focus on quantum information and metrology. The summer school is intended to advanced graduate students with a basic background knowledge in quantum and non-linear optics.
