The 33rd International SAOT Workshop, chaired by Prof. Dr. Dr. Oliver Friedrich, took place online from 16 – 17 February 2021. 40 people took part in the two-day workshop which offered a series of lectures by national and international speakers on the topics “Advanced Biophotonics” and “Superresolution & Software in Microscopy”. At the end of each Workshop day, the participants had the chance to meet the speakers in individual breakout sessions. This opportunity was very well received by many of the participants.
