Below you find an overview of SAOT’s International Cooperations. Please also see the corresponding Memoranda of Understanding.

In February 2015 SAOT expanded its international network with the execution of a collaboration agreement with the College of Health & Human Performance at the University of Florida. In 2020, the collaboration agreement was extended for another five years.

In April 2014 an cooperation agreement was concluded with the Health Innovation Research Institute (HIRI), Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University. The collaboration has been initiated by Prof. Dr. Oliver Friedrich, head of the Institute of Medical Biotechnology and Principal Investigator of the SAOT.

In January 2013 SAOT extended its international network by having signed a cooperation agreement with the Shanghai Institute of Optics and fine Mechanics (SIOM) of the Chinese Academy of Science. The collaboration has been initiated by Dr. Andreas Erdmann, affiliated with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology, the Chair of Electron Devices and SAOT (Mentor of SAOT).

On 20th September SAOT expanded its international network with the execution of a collaboration agreement with the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute (VCCRI), one of the top research institutes of Australia in the field of cardiovascular disease. The application and development of optical techniques for cardiovascular research is in the focus of the collaboration. The collaboration has been initiated by Professor Oliver Friedrich, Chair Professor of the Institute of Medical Biotechnology and principal investigator of SAOT.
