For her latest publicationTailoring the Nature of Interface States in Efficient and Stable Bilayer Organic Solar Cells by a Transfer-Printing Technique, Rong Wang developed a novel fabrication method, which enables solar cells containing two layers with a sharply defined planar interface. By regulating the molecular orientation at the interface, she realized devices showing improved long-term stability at high charge generation efficiency. This also enables a better understanding of the energetics inside an organic solar cell.

Rong Wang works at the Institute for Materials for Electronics and Energy Technology, her supervisor is Christoph J. Brabec. The original publication can be found in Advanced Materials Interfaces.
